Grain from Ukraine.
Launched by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in partnership with the UN World Food Programme, Grain from Ukraine is a humanitarian initiative delivering Ukrainian grain to African and Asian nations facing acute food shortages.
To raise awareness of the programme’s impact, Plus Four Studios was commissioned by Freuds on behalf of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop a campaign and activation in one of its key recipient countries, Kenya.
Together We Rise.
In March 2024, we launched Together We Rise, a two-day activation hosted at Mode Café, a popular spot for young and socially conscious Kenyans in Nairobi. The event paired Ukrainian hospitality with a humanitarian purpose, featuring free cakes and pastries, including the country’s signature honey cake.
Working closely with local press, TV stations, influencers and food bloggers, the campaign sparked conversation around food security and solidarity, gaining earned and organic media coverage across national and regional platforms.
Staying true to the initiative’s mission, we partnered with local charities and community organisations in Kibera, Africa’s largest informal settlement, and donated hundreds of cakes and pastries to local orphanages.
